Our work is typically complex and often crazy and disorientating, but that's the nature of working with systems and it does all link together. This is what we're currently involved in and how we think we see the links.

We're looking for a comms specialist to help us capture what we're learning and share it with the world. Could this be you?
Insight and Communications Lead
About the role
We're looking for someone who can take our ideas and put them out into the world in ways that find an appreciative audience, developing and executing strategic marketing plans and managing our various media channels. We want someone who can contribute to the development of our thinking as a company, offering challenge and asking insightful questions, informed by their participation in company projects and experiments.
We’re looking for someone who is...
-
An experienced comms professional.
-
Aligned to our ideals, our approach, our indifference to orthodoxy.
-
Interested in and keen to learn more about systems thinking and systems change.
-
Deeply invested in learning, unwilling to sit still, self-reflective, and as comfortable with uncertainty as any of us can be.
-
Eager to work for a company that does things differently but doesn’t pretend to have all the answers – we need your help finding more of those answers.
-
Self-reflective, willing to put themselves out of their comfort zone, while also being deeply caring about people.
The practical stuff
Part-time role - 3 days/week (CIA operates a 4-day working week so this is 0.75FTE)
Salary - £35,000 pro rata (£26,250pa)
Location – Home-based anywhere in the UK, with a willingness to travel occasionally. (We work from our spare bedrooms in the towering metropolises of Stockport and Gateshead, so as long as you live in the UK and have permission to work here, you can be based anywhere.)
